Site Description: With funding from the EPA and other sponsors, the N.C. DPPEA conducted research throughout the state to identify barriers the twenty-something demographic faced regarding recycling. This data was used to create the RE3.org campaign and its components. RE3.org's current plans call for combining advertising methods from previous years such as cable advertising, soda can panels and interactive booths with some new media approaches, including: 1. Streaming of recycling messages on radio stations throughout the state, 2. Ad placement through athletic programs, and 3. Word of mouth marketing over the Internet.
