Hi there.
My name is Liz, I am British, and for several months I lived in China. Contrary to any other Westerner I met, I tried to experience China without Western ideals and preconceptions. How else can we understand a world so alien from our own? What really can we learn from media reports that have their own agendas, or tourists that see only what the government presents? I utterly immersed into the Chinese lifestyle, avoiding anything that offered the comfort of familiarity, and managing to regularly delve into the thoughts and perceptions of intelligent Chinese people.
