I hope that, foremost, I am a Christian striving to follow God. It is a challenge but that whole "take up your cross and follow me" thing never implied it would be easy. I am in that for the long haul. My incredible wife has been the love of my life since 1981. I am also in that for the long haul (and Lisa makes that so easy and fun!) We were blessed with a great son in 1998. I have many great friends who provide me strength, encouragement, and joy. I am involved in three businesses, the primary one a manufacturer of residential metal roofing. I sometimes over-extend myself but, so long as I remember that I am His and that it's never about me, everything is good and life really does keep getting better.
In her speech to my senior class at graduation, one of my college professors challenged us to make each day better than the day before. By providing an account of things I learn and just things I want to keep track of, this blog, at least in part, will record my attempt to make each day better than the day before.
