Nowadays it seems like every conceivable A-list and B-list celebrity has a fragrance to call their own. But what if the perfumers behind one of the most popular celebrity fragrances, Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely, were to unleash their creative energies making perfumes for two "nobodies?"
Made by Blog, a collabrative project from S-Perfume is determined to find out.
The man behind S-Perfume, artist Nobi Shioya, stumbled upon the small web community of perfume blogs. Struck by the deep passion of these blog writers, he contacted Lovely's Clement Garvarry and Laurent Le Guernec to work with two lucky bloggers to create their ideal signature perfumes.
Made by Blog seeks to open up the often hidden process of perfume creation in real time. Correspondences with the perfumers and small batches of the various trial versions of the two perfumes will be made available to the public, as well as the finished products, through the Made by Blog blog.
The two bloggers selected for this project live far from the glamor of the big fashion capitals of the world. Marina Geigert of Perfume Smellin' Things, lives in Pennsylvania, and Katrina Voll-Taylor of Scentzilla lives in Washington state.
Both bloggers are available for interviews and comments, as is S-Perfume's Nobi Shioya, and all can be contacted at madebyblog@gmail.com.
