Here is the intellectual foundation for the Vidnasa discipline. I have called it the Great Work, not because I have had anything to do with it, but because the great work of our lives is to understand and help each other, and understand and help God. The following quotations and thoughts are concern how to live a better life, and happier life, a more fufilled life. The best way to use this book is to read one quotation a day perhaps, and to think about it, meditate on it. If you just quickly glance through the whole thing, then you aren't going to get anything out of it. It has been written by humanity, and continues to be written every day, in every positive action, in the heart of every contented person.
