Site Description: The Brazilian Institute of International Relations – IBRI (in portuguese), is a non-governmental organization with cultural objectives and no lucrativity. Founded in 1954 in Rio de Janeiro, where it has worked for almost forty years, and restructured and rebuilt in Brasília in 1993, the IBRI performs an important role, since it’s creation, in the difusion of interesting themes regarding the international relations and the Brazilian foreign policy. The IBRI acts in colaboration with Brazilian and foreing cultural and academic institutions, encouraging studies and researches, organizing discussion and reflexion foruns, promoting formation activities and updating for the great public (conferences, seminars and courses). The IBRI keeps a dinamic program of publications, in which it edits the Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional - RBPI, Meridiano 47 – Boletim de Análise de Conjuntura em Relações Internacionais (Meridian 47 – Bouletin of Conjuncture Analyses in International Relations) and books about the greatest variety of themes of the international contemporary agenda and of special relevance for the formation of human resources in this domain in the country.
