When we lost our beloved family beagle to cancer at the age of 13 in 2003, I wrote a children's book as part of the grieving process. Remembering Ruby: For Families Living Beyond the Loss of a Pet was a labor of love for my entire family. I created this blog to document the publishing process, the excitement of having this lasting memorial to our dog actually available to help others, and the trials and tribulations of marketing this book from my own neighborhood to places on the other side of the world.
