JUNKe Life describes the daily adventures, struggles and screw-ups of an injection drug user whose been wired to opiods for many years.
The blogger also includes occasional commentary against the drug prohibition and the war on drugs and provides information about various harm reduction projects which exist to reduce drug related harms - such as needle exchange programs and safer injection sites.
Highly personal in general, and highly political at times, this blog blasts stereotypes that consider drug users as nothing but low-life junkies and crack-head scumbags. It argues for compassion, acceptance, understanding, and normalization in the face of prejudice, exclusion, marginalization, and criminalization.
The blogger does not advocate drug using, but uses his own life as a drug user to provide readers with a window through which to learn.
