FirstShowing Heads to Sundance - Coverage Details for 2010!

Sundance

Another year, another Sundance Film Festival, but as always, we've got some changes this year! The first thing I should mention is that Brandon Lee Tenney will be making the trek to Park City for his first time, writing reviews and coverage of the fest for FS. This will be my 4th year attending and I'm planning to see as many films as I can and provide some great interviews and video blogs (find them here). The bad news is that Bob Stencil will not be returning this year (watch his videos from last year) but he will be back again for Comic-Con. Anyway, expect lots of reviews over the next two weeks and all of our normal coverage as well.

Our staff writer Ethan Anderton will be helping keep us on top of the regular non-Sundance news for the next two weeks. Sundance kicks off on January 21st and lasts for 10 days until January 31st. Brandon and I will be returning to Los Angeles on February 1st. Some of the films I'm looking forward to seeing are Hesher, Blue Valentine, the Duplass Brothers' Cyrus, HappyThankYouMorePlease, The Runaways, Holy Rollers, The Company Men, Splice and Tucker & Dale vs Evil. If anyone has any suggestions for coverage they'd like to see, let us know. We look forward to bringing you the best Sundance coverage on the web!

We'll be updating the most from those two Twitter accounts above if you're looking for instant feedback or more coverage from the festival. And for informational purposes, we're staying at the same condo as Peter & Dave from SlashFilm, Neil from Film School Rejects, as well as Chase, Rusty, & James from Gordon and the Whale, so you may be hearing a lot about those people in our articles (I can't help it, we're living with them for 10 days!). We hope you enjoy following our coverage of Sundance as much as we enjoy bringing it to you!

I agree with #2...Buried would be at the top of my list. Howl and Company Men sound interesting as well...

Howabout some Slamdance films if you get a chance? I hear "One Hundred Mornings" and "The Wild Hunt" are supposed to be phenomenal. Also, in terms of Sundance, "The Extra Man."

Everyone else - Don't worry, Buried is on the very top of my list. I'll be seeing it at it's very first world premiere and will have a review for you then. Also interviewing Rodrigo Cortes as well!
