I Will Do One Thing Today Sticky Notes

I just ordered some of these for myself from PrettyBitter. I think I can handle ONE THING per day. Maybe.
At the Movies
It’s what you do over the holidays, right? Here’s our reviews of the movies we saw this season…
(Funnily enough, this is the order that I saw them in, and also the order in which I liked them. Least to best.)

Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Cool story, but I immediately wanted to walk into the Yes Man theatre. I needed a comedy chaser bad.

Fun movie, love Zooey - she might just about steal the show from Jim. Great movie to get you motivated for all those New Year’s Resolutions! It would be fine if you waited til it came out on DVD.

Jenn: Thought I would like it, but they did a really great job with this movie! If you haven’t taken your kids to see it yet, GO THIS WEEKEND. This is one of those rare movies that the entire family will enjoy.
Ayla: I liked it, my favorite character was Bugsy because he had huge eyes and …it was a really good movie and that’s pretty much it.
Evren: It was good. My favorite part was the booger monster.

Jenn: Of course by the end I was sobbing. Very cute movie. I never read the book, because I tend to not resist those books the entire rest of the country has read as a matter of principle, but ok, it’s probably a really good book too.
Ayla: It was cute, I loved Marley, but it was also sad.
Evren: I liked it, especially when the dog was a puppy.
Glazed Peanut Butter Cups
These are the cookies I took to the cookie exchange this year. After which, we went caroling. (Oh yes we did…)

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped (duh)
1/2 C semisweet chocolate chips
2 tsp. shortening
Heat oven to 350. Spray 48 mini muffin cups with cooking spray. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place in muffin cups. Press 1 peanut butter cup into each ball.
Bake 13 to 18 minutes or until dough is set and golden brown around edges of candy. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
In a small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and shortening on High 45 to 60 seconds, stirring once halfway through microwaving, until melted. If necessary, continue to microwave on High in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth. Drizzle glaze evenly onto cooled cookies.
The original recipe is from Pillsbury, but I modified it a little to make it even easier. You can use any peanut butter cookie dough.
Yum!
Thanks again for a great night Catherine!
Pops and Edna
My grandpa is 84 and his lovely bride Edna is 10 years his junior.

And judging from the Santa hats in public, their trip to Costa Rica in December and these pictures taken of them a couple of weeks ago riding bumper cars, I get the impression they don’t care in the slightest about that number.

Some of the others in the pics? THE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

What’s next? A Facebook account?? Heh.
Rock it Pops.
