Gossip Girl Thanksgiving Fashion Guide
Thanksgiving is the time of the year to spread love and gratitude by getting together with loved ones and pigging out on turkey and potatoes with gravy. With Thanksgiving around the corner, we need to gobble up some thanksgiving fashion with this season's latest looks.
For the hippest and hottest Thanksgiving fashion let's consult the hottest TV Series, Gossip Girl, and review the previous episode (The Magnificent Archibalds. Join me as I check on Gossip Girl's Thanksgiving fashion guide.
Serena and Lily van der Woodsen
Even though she's a mother of two Gossip Girl's characters namely Serena and Eric, Lily van der Woodsen stayed to be a fashion-forward mom. For the Turkey Day, she wore a dress from Hugo Boss with her Brunello Cucinelli trench. Serena sported a top and skirt from Porter Grey and Nine West shoes.
Serena van der Woodsen
Serena stops by the Waldorf household, where Blair's Thanksgiving traditions are not being properly followed. She wears a Mayle coat and carries a Chanel bag.
For her school dressed-up look, Serena accessorizes her French Toast uniform with a leather vest (shop an option from Mike & Chris for Ron Herman) and boots from Ralph Lauren.
Blair Waldorf
For her favorite holiday, Blair opted for intricate, backless, forest green dress designed by Alexandra Vidal. The pleated bib front is just as cute, as are the Jimmy Choos she chooses. In a later scene, Blair wears a Sretsis coat dress over this look.

Jenny Humphrey
Jenny rocked a plaid dress from Dolce and Gabbana and Nine West boots.
Jenny gets ever-so-casual, but ever-so-fashionable, in a cute tee from Kova & T with cameo ring (Tarino Tarantino) and necklace is (Alexis Bittar).
Vanessa Abrams
Vanessa wears a mixture of high and low with a coat from Forever 21 and a silk printed dress from Anna Sui.

Cast of Twilight Movie in December's In Style

Today, the much anticipated Twilight movie premiered here in the Philippines. I can't wait to watch the movie this coming weekend and so I ended up surfing the world wide web for some Twilight goodies.
Thanks to Instyle magazine for featuring the most talked-about cast of Twilight movie in their December issue which are probably out in the newsstands today.
Here's some of the photos taken during their photo shoot and an excerpt of their interviews.

Robert Pattinson
"I don’t want to look trendy, so I try to find clothes where somebody wouldn’t be able to say, 'Oh, you’re a cool guy,’" says Pattinson. The actor also admits, "I do like the 'expensive but disheveled' thing if I am going out."
Kristen Stewart
"I love women’s clothes fashioned after men’s clothes," said Stewart of her Helmut Lang tuxedo jacket and Zac Posen shirt. "You definitely feel more feminine because you look better in the clothes than the guys do!"
Rachelle Lefevre
"I feel like there is something about having wild hair that makes people assume that I might be fierce and cool," says Lefevre of her mane. "So I can just let that do all the work and be my regular intimidated self!"
Nikki Reed
"They put me in 12-inch stilettos [in the movie] because I am supposed to be taller than my sister... It was the running joke that we might not be able to shoot because I might not be able to walk. I was like, 'Can you just have us sitting and put me on a pillow?'"
Kellan Lutz
"I love wearing old-fashioned stuff, like top hats and bow ties and striped suits."

Katy Perry 's Fashion Moment @ MTV Europe Music Awards 2008
Last November 6,2008 at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008 night, Pop star Katy Perry paraded 10 (or shall I say 11) different dresses that marked the event as her fashion moment. The American singer hosted the star-studded event in Liverpool's Echo Arena and wowed everyone as she made a lot of fashion statements with her quirky costumes.
She started to grab the spotlight when she arrived in a green-eyed Jean-Charles de Castelbajac blue satin dress.
She opened the awards night singing her number one hit "I Kissed A Girl" dressed in an American footballer's kit riding a giant Chapstick.
She was also in a mini pink dress on top of two cherries.
Perry showed her joy at Barack Obama's triumph with a sequinned dress tribute to the new U.S. president, created by French designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac
She sported a pink playsuit with her name pinned on the dress.
She also appeared in a Manish Arora corset dress with a merry-go-round skirt.
She wore a colorful gown while sitting on top of a big banana.
Katy appeared again in another outfit, this time a white one with some yellow on the top and with a big pink bow.
She later changes into a demure baby pink gown.
Katy ended the show with an amazing performance of her latest single "Hot N Cold"! Her gender-confused outfit came with a man's suit on one side and a cute dress on the other.

Twilight Movie Fashion Guide
When Stephanie Meyer's fame for Twilight series hit the Philippines, I can say that I am one of the book lovers who got hooked with the series. Although I am not so happy with how the saga ended, I was still excited about the much-anticipated Twilight movie.
But before Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) hit the big screen, let's take a look at the movie's fashion guide. Basing on the descriptions from the novel and considering the budget for the film, the movie's costume designer, Wendy Chuck made a lot of effort to dress the characters with a right look for the film. According to her, the characters' outfits were from Loehmann's, Nordstrom Rack, Internet outlets and local Portland shops

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen
His style is formed by a mix of American Apparel T-shirts, jackets from G-Star, H&M shirts, Chimala jeans, and A-life sneakers or vintage boots. According to Chuck, the only high-end item in the film was Edward's Gucci jacket for the prom.
Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan
Her wardrobe progresses to cooler blues and gray blues and some romantic elements like the floral embroidery on her shirts.
Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Cullen
Alice is the kooky, artistic one in the book so her wardrobe is mostly inspired by vintage. For Jasper, Chuck used a lot from G-Star, Levi's and Western boots.
Nikki Reed as Rosalie Cullen and Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen
Defined by their intimidating gracefulness and beauty, Rosalie (in a Guess jacket with Miss Sixty jeans) and Emmett display a polished look. Instead of going for the stereotypical goth looks for the vampires, Chuck moved towards cool blue and gray tones to convey death and iciness.
Edi Gathegi as Laurent and Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria
The influence for their outfits was rock and roll, bad-ass vampires.
Cam Gigandet as James
Chuck found a way to portray the nomads evil side through their wardrobe. For James, his clothes were taken from his victims.

Superheroes Were Reunited @ 11th New York Chocolate Show
I would say that aside from love for chocolates, every child loves to be a superhero. I bet some grown ups shared these dreams too. This year's 11th New York Chocolate Show (Nov. 7-9) fulfilled everyone's fantasy by featuring some of the our favorite superheroes and villains. Wonder Woman, Bat Girl, Poison Ivy, Dark Phoenix, Xena, Storm from X-Men, Barbarella and Iron Man were among the characters that walked down the catwalk. Delicious edible chocolate outfits were created by designers that paired with chocolatiers and pastry chefs. What more can we ask for?

Fashion War: Michelle Obama vs. Cindy McCain
In just a few hours, American people will go out of their houses and vote for the president who will lead them out of the economic recession problems. While waiting for the results of November 2008 US Presidential Elections, let's shift our minds to a subtle political war. Forget their husbands for a while, a focus on the two candidates for potential First Lady, Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain.
If you're some kind of fashion-style-watcher, then you already knew that the fashion press and news media have been scrutinizing the outfits worn by the two ladies during their respective national party conventions and speeches. According to ABC News, not since a fresh-faced Jackie Kennedy entered the White House has so much attention been paid to a potential first lady's fashions. But now, Obama's style as well as McCain's style sense were garnering as much attention as their political views.
Both women are smart, fit and accomplished. Neither lacks fashion sense. Who you will in this political fashion war?
Casual Wear
Cindy McCain loves to wear suits for public appearances, but sometimes she let people know that she can go casual in a long-sleeved, dark pink sweater and white pants with a white watch.

On the other hand, Michelle Obama opted for a casual attire when speaking during campaign rallies. She wore clothing with a neutral color palette, opting for a white sleeveless blouse with tan pants and accessorizing with a light green double strand beaded necklace.
Suits
Suits are Cindy McCain's signature style. She appears comfortable and at ease when wearing them. She favors St. John, the high-end brand that are made from a wool/rayon knit fabric.

For a suit, Unlike Cindy McCain, Michelle Obama is more likely to be seen in a dress or pants than a suit. When she wore one, she favors strong and bold colors, and those colors makes up her signature style.
Belted Dresses
Cindy McCain wears a short-sleeved belted dress and her hairdo here isn't her usual tightly pulled-back style that sometimes draws criticism.

Michelle Obama wears a purple Maria Pinto dress cinched with a black Azzedine Alaïa belt at her husband's final primary victory rally.
Michelle Obama often wears sleeveless garments while Cindy McCain seldom goes sleeveless. Both McCain and Obama favor pearls and wear them often.
