Executives at California fashion company Blue Cult have named one of their hottest selling styles of jeans after celebrity sisters HILARY and HAYLIE DUFF.

The company have re-named their $196 peg-leg blue jeans the “Duff Jeans” after the stylish sisters.

Hilary claims, “Blue Cult named the skinny-leg jeans after us, because that is our favourite style.”

The jeans, which reportedly have a special “butt-boosting” effect, are flying off shop shelves and other Hollywood celebrities, including COURTENEY COX, have been spotted wearing the popular style.(Source)

Britney Spears’ marriage is still “far from rosy”, despite claims from the star that all is well.

Reports suggest that Britney’s relationship with Kevin Federline is on the mend, but is still very rocky.

A friend of the star told the Daily Mirror: “Things are far from rosy. They’re trying to make it work but there are still issues that need addressing. Britney’s got to be calm for the birth of her second child, so she’s taking time out from their problems and giving herself some space.”

The source also revealed that Britney is staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel, while Kevin is spending time in Malibu with the kids from his first relationship. (Source)

From comics she was born, and to comics she shall return: Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s post-cancellation adventures will soon begin anew — penned by Joss Whedon himself — in the pages of Dark Horse Comics. Here’s an exclusive cover image (by artist Georges Jeanty) from issue No. 1. As you can see, she’s kept in shape during her hiatus. (Dark Horse will debut No. 1 at Comic-Con this week.)

This isn’t Buffy’s first foray into comics. And it remains to be seen if it ranks anywhere near Joss Whedon’s best foray into comics: the all-too-brief “future slayer” saga Fray, which follows the dystopic advetures of Buffster’s 24th-century successor. (Some will persuasively argue that this is Joss’ best comics effort. I will counter with a spin move and the old axe-to-the-head. So watch it.)So what’s going on in the extended Buffyverse? Well, you may recall the show ended with the creation of an army of Slayers. Now they’re organized, and the tide has turned in favor of the good guys. Ah, but you know how much Whedon hates winners: Soon an “old enemy” surfaces (Dark Horse is cagey on Big Bad’s identity), and Dawn starts “experiencing serious growing pains.” I hope that means the Scoobies will be fighting a mutant, undead Alan Thicke.(Source)

The U.K. Observer’s list of the 50 Albums that Changed Music. No. 1 is The Velvet Underground and Nico; No. 2 is the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (pictured).

Hard to argue with those two 1967 discs: the Velvets’ debut expanded rock’s sonic and lyrical palette, made possible every punk/alt-rock movement that followed, and influenced everybody from David Bowie to Ashley Olsen, while Pepper turned the studio into an instrument and introduced the idea of a rock album as a cohesive work of art (an idea now on its way out, thanks to MP3s).

But still, there are plenty of glaring absences. The Spice Girls are here, but where are the Rolling Stones, R.E.M., George Clinton, Mariah Carey, Gram Parsons, the Replacements, James Taylor, Public Enemy, etc.? Yes, there’s a difference between being great and being influential, but really, how myopic do you have to be not to recognize the above artists as both?(Source)

Janet Jackson is turning over the artwork for her upcoming album,

“20 Years Old,” to fans through a contest with Yahoo Music.

Beginning Tuesday, fans can download 33 images of Jackson for use

as part of their own covers. Jackson will personally choose four

finalists, whose creations will appear on “selected publicly

distributed copies” of the album, according to her Virgin Records

label.

Sixteen finalists will win Jackson’s complete album discography on

CD. Each design uploaded to the contest site

(http://music.yahoo.com/janetjackson) will be assigned a unique

link that can be shared.

“20 Years Old” is due September 26. The set was produced by

Jackson’s boyfriend, Virgin Urban president Jermaine Dupri, as well

as longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

The single “Call on Me” is currently No. 16 in its fourth week on
