Scream Trilogy (1996, 1997, 2000) - Various Artists (7 CD Complete Score and Soundtrack Set) (Thanks A Ton, JC!) - Happy New Year, Everyone!!! :D

(Click On Pictures Above To Get A Enlarged View)

Here's a rare treat for you slasher fans. Courtesy of my fellow reader "JC". I gave "JC" the honor of presenting this post as he is more familiar with the series and the music than I am. It's not my cup of tea this series, but it's still a great addition to The Inferno Music Crypt archives. Even if you don't like the series, at least give the music a chance as it is indeed very well done. Now the stage goes to "JC":

Though Marco Beltrami had lent his musical talent to films such as Mimic, and Angel Eyes, the Scream trilogy really put him on the competitive horror genre list. His themes became iconic for Sydney Prescott, and the long "oh-my-god-I'm-gonna-die!" moments in each film. Originally, the soundtracks were just a presentation of the songs in the film, by artists who wouldn't otherwise be known. But score fans of Beltrami's cried out, and they released a very limited (in content) offering of the scores from Scream and Scream 2, on Varese Sarabande label, notorious for their 30-minute-and-no-longer score releases.

When Scream 3 was released, they planned a separate score release to accompany the song album, but it was delayed until the film had left theatres already, and it, too, was a mere 30 minutes in length.

Now, I am proud to present the complete score and song compilations for all three films, including pop and rock songs not originally offered on the albums. The scores are in great quality. For those fans of the Scream trilogy (and perhaps... the rumored new fourth film to be?) I give you Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3, with original artwork covers. -JC

Tales From The Darkside: The Movie (1990) - Various Artists (Soundtrack) - Thanks "BluntedBoyWonder"!

This is a great anthology. It's not as good as the TV series but it's still a entertaining movie. Steve Buscemi is great in a role in the first tale. I always watch this movie every time it's on cable. Grew up watching it as a matter of fact. The soundtrack's great. Moody and eerie and good to listen to late at night. Here's a informative tidbit straight from IMDB.com: "Tales from the Darkside: The Movie" is considered by many fans and Tom Savini himself to be the 'official' "Creepshow 3". Following the success of Stephen King and George A. Romero's Creepshow, Laurel Entertainment (Creepshow & Creepshow 2's production company) toyed with the idea of a Creepshow television series. After several negotiations and changes (due to rights holders etc.), the decision was made to change the title for the series to "Tales from the Darkside" (to be helmed by none other than Creepshow director and Creepshow 2 screenwriter, George A. Romero). After the series' great success, just roughly three short years after Creepshow 2 hit theatres, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie came to fruition in 1990 as the successor to the original two Creepshow installments, sharing many of the same crew as the Creepshow installments.

  1. "Tales From The Darkside: The Movie" Prologue, Theme & Main Title (2:59) - Donald A. Rubinstein
  2. "Lot 249" Suite (12:52) - Jim Manzie And Pat Regan

They Live (1988) - John Carpenter and Alan Howarth (20th Anniversary Edition - Expanded Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Here's a long awaited post for my readers. Figured it was about time. This is definitely my favorite of John Carpenter's films. This edition of the soundtrack blows away the previous release in leaps and bounds. The soundtrack is lovingly remastered and they included many bonus cues. They even included the music from the fake commercials seen in the movie. Which btw are some of my favorite cues in this soundtrack. You'll be happy to hear that I also included a folder in the RAR file that contains artwork scans of everything that was presented with this CD release. I can't remember who posted it but thanks to that person who did on "Franklynot". Now if only Universal would release a special edition of this movie or at least a domestic disc release with the audio commentary with John and Roddy that is exclusive to the UK edition (I'm not sure if there's other countries that got that extra too.) I wonder if there is a petition for that out there. If there is, I'd gladly sign it.

Notice: The Inferno Music Crypt Forum

Morning all,

I have a request for my readers. Can people who registered for the forum give it some love again? The forum has been dead for months. I think it was cause of the forum upgrade cause after that no one posted for months. Thankfully, some people are starting to post again. But not by much. Also you may have noticed that if you upped a avatar for the forum it's gone. Damn forum upgrade (which i had no choice to do. the server required me do it) did that. So if you want your avatar, you need to re-up it again to the forum. I thought that was one of the reasons why people stopped coming to the forum to post. The forum's a great way to interact with me and other readers/fans of my blogs The Inferno Music Crypt, The Insomnia Video Stash, and The Hellfire Music Hall. Please support it. It's a lot of fun actually.

And it now has a new chat room part in it. But people I urge you to keep the conversations nice and free of fights or put-downs. When I see that I will simply delete the message. I'm of course the administrator there too. BTW if anyone is interested in being a moderator on the forum let me know. Just for fun that is. Cause I can't afford to pay you or anything like that for it but it would mean a lot to me if someone took part in that. Maybe if someone does I can arrange some kind of reward or something every now and then like share a soundtrack with that moderator a bit early before I post it. I'm open for ideas.

So if people can speak their mind in this comments section about this forum that'd be great. What do you wanna see it in the forum? What do you like? What do you hate? I'll try my best to make the forum better upon your likes and dislikes about it. My goal is to have a friendly vast community on this forum to interact with my readers and whoever else should happen to visit.

OK, I'm gonna go now. I'll be back hopefully later with a soundtrack post and hopefully some new goodies on the two other blogs. Also, hope everyone had a great Christmas. And I hope everyone enjoys themselves on New Year's Eve. Don't get too shitfaced tho :D! LOL!

take care,

-The Long Island Ripper

Better Off Dead (1985) - Various Artists (Extended Soundtrack)

Here's that second post I promised. This movie is a very enjoyable 80's cult classic starring John Cusack. If you haven't checked it out, do so soon cause this movie is a riot! Poor Lane is a young man who constantly contemplates suicide after losing his girlfriend. He thinks he must try to win her back in any way he can. But he eventually meets someone else who turns out to be even more special to his heart. Will he make the right choice? Will he beat his enemy in a ski race that could solve his problems and possibly win back his girlfriend? Watch the movie and find out. It's definitely worth a rental at your local video store.

This soundtrack was previously posted in a edition that had less tracks and was not as good in audio quality. This edition restores all missing tracks and has better quality and now features a custom front cover for this special release. Thanks Phaota for the artwork and the help! Enjoy this second Christmas present, readers. I felt it was a another appropriate post since this movie is set around Christmas time too. It also needed a upgrade too. Enjoy everyone and have a merry holiday :)!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) - Various Artists (RARE Soundtrack) - MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! :D

Merry Christmas everyone! This is the first of two special Christmas related soundtrack presents to you my dear readers. The first as you see here is a special rare soundtrack goody for you National Lampoon fans. Like many people I try to watch this very funny Christmas movie every year around Christmas. This is indeed a rare find. From what I understand this soundtrack was released on a limited edition CD pressing that was supposedly handed out at Six Flags as a promotional Christmas gift from Warner Bros. At least that's what I recall reading on the Net. Wish I could remember where I read that so I could verify it but I can't find the site where I read it now. So basically this is a much sought after soundtrack. And now you can get it in sweet 320 bitrate as a gift from yours truly for Christmas. I've been planning on posting this for Christmas since the summer. Hope you dig it everyone. It's a good soundtrack to listen to while you open up your presents :).

Oh man this movie has tons of great quotes I can use for the download link quote. It was hard to narrow down one like it was for the "Twins" soundtrack post but here's one of my top favorites....

Clark: Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, fore-fleshing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?---The Download Link

FINALLY!

Hey everyone,

I just finally finished adding even more labels to the list. In case you haven't discovered them yet labels are the links to the posts based on topic or genre. They're located below the "cbox". The column's titled "Labels" naturally. I hope you guys can take advantage of it cause it's now very very easy to find what you're searching for much faster. I added tons of new labels. I just hope my work pays off and you guys get good mileage out of them.

OK I'm gonna retire for the night now. I gotta study now. So I'll try to post something tomorrow. On all 3 blogs like lately so that I don't neglect the other two blogs.

Good night.

Darkman (1990) - Danny Elfman (Score - Thanks To The Original Uploader)

Here's another Danny Elfman score to add to your soundtrack libraries. This score is mostly sad yet moving. I haven't seen the sequels but I have heard that they're awful in comparison to this one. Because of that I avoided them. It's cool to see Bruce Campbell in his expected cameo in a Sam Raimi film. According to what I read about one of Bruce's books he talks about some scenes that were left on the cutting room floor for this film. And apparently there was a lot cut. Damn it Universal when will you release a special edition of this movie along will all the trimmings included as extras. And while you're at it, a commentary with Sam would be nice as well. Yeah I can wish, can't I? ;D

To see a rare featurette on the making of "Darkman" as well as the trailer go to this link at Insomnia Video Stash.

Demons (AKA: Démoni) (1985) - Claudio Simonetti (Score, - This Goes Out To "STRELOK")

Ah this is one of my favorite Italian gore movies. Wall to wall gore effects, cheesy fun, and a entertaining storyline. I wish Lamberto Bava (the director) and Dario Argento (the producer) would make another one of these movies. Lamberto even calls this his favorite of the films he's directed. Demons 2 was good too. He directed that too. Here's a interesting trivia piece for you old school Playstation fanatics out there. "The Playstation video game 'Silent Hill' pays homage to this film as a theater called 'Metropol' can be seen in the game, along with posters advertising this film at the box office." Interesting. I haven't played that game. The only 'Silent Hill' I've played was this XBOX demo. Can't remember which one it was but it was pretty cool. Anyone know if there was a anthology or PC versions of the "Silent Hill" series? I'd like to check that out. But I'm sure there was considering it's popularity. I avoided the latest one on XBOX 360 cause I read a not so flattering review somewheres I think. Anyway "Strelok" and my other many readers, enjoy, I will try to post Demons 2 as soon as I can find a better rip. I have it in 192 bitrate and I always try to go out of my way to provide the highest quality I can find before posting.

Also if anyone has a good rip of this Japanese CD soundtrack release for Demons below - please send me a copy. I'll try to make it up to you in return. It's rare and only 500 were pressed!

Alien (1979) - Jerry Goldsmith (Complete Score - Intrada Release - 2 CD Set - In 320 Bitrate)

Hey. Sorry for my absence for the past couple of days. Been busy. Also even though I wasn't around to make it official the day it happened I hope you, my readers, all had a nice Thanksgiving. I finally bought my HDTV on Black Friday at Amazon.com (I didn't know there was such a thing as Black Monday before that). So I should be getting that great fucking TV within the next few days. I'm very excited as this will be my first HDTV. Finally I can see my movies in high-def 1080p. Though at first I will be watching 1080i broadcasts when I get the HD box from Cablevision. Can't wait to finally start watching the "Monsters HD" channel. Not to mention finally watching my DVDs in anamorphic widescreen. I plan on getting a Playstation 3 in time too cause I've read from many reliable sources that it's one of the best Blu-ray players out there. Gotta sell some stuff in order to get that. Yeah, I'm jobless still. That's a whole other story though. Anyway again my apologies for not being around these parts in a while.

Here I present to you a score to a movie series that someone who I wish I could recall who requested it. Raven? Stretch? Fotog? Damn can't remember off hand. It was one of my regular posters. Whoever it was here it is my friend. I'll plan to post other entries in the series soon.

BTW as you can see things have been going slow on the post front on Inferno. I admit the releases as of late aren't of the same caliber as say the Summer Of Inferno stuff was. But I do have some cool stuff planned. Me and J are working on a extended soundtrack to a very cool movie currently in theaters. And I got a special surprise for you comedy fans on Christmas. So don't worry if you have. The Inferno Music Crypt's fire will still keep on burning :D!

Carnival Of Souls (1962) - Gene Moore (Score, Stereo Release, Thanks To "The Drive-In Maniac" For Sharing!)

I haven't seen this classic horror movie yet but I have read about it over the years. This soundtrack copy was given to me awhile ago by a nice reader of mine. Sorry pal for taking so long to post. Anyway, I am aware this is considered to be a masterpiece in horror cinema. The Criterion Collection released a definitive DVD special edition a couple of years ago. I first heard a music track from this movie I think from a track that was on one of The Manchester Morgue's terrific compilations and I instantly loved the music. This edition of the soundtrack for this movie seems to be the edition to get for fans of this movie. It's loaded with dialogue clips too. Some people love soundtracks with that included, while others loathe it. I'm the former. I'll have to check this movie out sometime. The movie has a real atmospheric creepy feel to it based on what I've read. Now that I think about it I should've posted this in October so that readers can listen to it for Halloween. Better late than never I say.

  1. Dialogue: "Want To Drag?" (0:33)
  2. Main Title (1:49)
  3. Mary Henry On The Bridge / Organ Factory (4:11)

  13. Dialogue: "Who's The Man In The Hall?" (1:05)
  14. Dialogue: "A Church Is Just A Place Of Business." (1:18)

Pure Luck (1991) - Danny Elfman/Jonathan Sheffer (Score, Thanks To The Original Ripper)

To date this movie has not received a DVD release. And it's a shame cause this is really a under appreciated comedy. Though I have heard that it does appear sometimes in glorious high definition on Universal's HD channel with a nice 5.1 track to boot. So if you're looking for a digital copy of this movie and own high definition equipment look out for that movie on that channel and record it using a DVDR player next time it's on. Cause it's uncertain when this movie will ever see a disc release at this point. This score by both Danny Elfman and Jonathan Sheffer is both beautiful and a joy to listen to. All Danny Elfman fans should download this and add to their collections.

  1. Main Title (2:31) - Danny Elfman
  2. Valerie's Vacation (2:10) - Jonathan Sheffer (including themes by Danny Elfman)
  3. Kidnapped (2:11) - Jonathan Sheffer (including themes by Danny Elfman)

  5. At The Airport (3:05) - Jonathan Sheffer (including themes by Danny Elfman)
  6. In Mexico (1:08) - Jonathan Sheffer (including themes by Danny Elfman)
  7. From Segoura To Fernando (1:45) - Jonathan Sheffer
  8. Proctor Crawls Home (1:20) - Jonathan Sheffer
  9. Roadtrip To Quicksand (5:01) - Jonathan Sheffer

Night Of The Creeps (1986) - Various Artists (Extended Soundtrack, In 320 Bitrate!, Thanks Phaota!)

This is probably the definitive edition of the soundtrack for this 80's zombie favorite. It was put together by my good friend Phaota. He was cool enough to let me use it for my blog. Thanks pal. This movie gets mentioned from time to time on Fangoria's web site that they may finally put out a special edition of this on DVD. It seems to be just rumors. Cause we have yet to see a official release of this on DVD. But in the time being you can check out a nice high definition copy that airs sometimes on Monsters HD and Showtime HD every one in a while. By the way here's a bit of trivia for you guys. It's straight from IMDB.com. "A young unknown by the name of George Clooney has a walk-on role as a janitor." WOW! I don't remember this scene but can anyone verify if this is the same George Clooney that starred in "From Dusk Till Dawn"? Very interesting.

Something I Decided On Regarding Posts

Hey all,

Just wanted to tell you all something I thought of today. As I mentioned in a post I made the other day I am running out of soundtracks/scores to post. Don't worry that doesn't mean The Inferno Music Crypt is going to call it quits soon. I just may need more time to fix up the ones I do have with bonuses to make them more appealing. But there are still ones I can post in the time being. Anyway what I have decided is that I am going to limit again the posts on Inferno in a given day. From two to one soundtrack and/or score post. This will help things a lot for me so that the "well" doesn't dry up too fast. I hope you guys can understand. Plus this will give me time to focus more on the other blogs as well which are largely neglected in comparision to Inferno. Please if you have any thoughts on this topic please share them with me on this post's comments section. I wanna hear what you guys think of this. Ok, that's it for now. Right now I'm uploading the downloads for today for this blog and my two other blogs. You "Creepshow" fans should check out Insomnia Video Stash cause I'm posting a treat related to that movie today as well as another treat on that same blog soon after.

Take care.

The People Under The Stairs (1991) - Various Artists (Score, Includes A Bonus Track!)

I've never seen this movie before so I don't have much to say. But I had it laying around on my hard drive and I decided to post it as a fitting companion to the other Wes Craven stuff I've posted here like the recent "Shocker" post I made. I could be wrong though but I recall reading back when this hit theaters it was reported as having cuts so that it wouldn't get a NC-17 rating. Figures cause "Shocker" had the same trouble. But with "The Last House On The Left" remake already getting ready to be released soon, I wouldn't be surprised if this got a remake too like what they seem to be doing with Craven's catalog. Maybe then they'll release the original in its uncensored form.

  1. Suite One (13:45) - Graeme Revell
  2. Suite Two (15:17) - Graeme Revell
  3. The People Under the Stairs Suite (25:06) - Don Peake

Tonight's Two Posts - Updates To "Christine" and "The Gate" - Well Worth Downloading For The Fan! PLUS Some Bad News To Report :(

Good evening readers,

I just finished putting up the updated posts for "Christine" and "The Gate". Both of which include bonus tracks now. Sorry for the delay in getting them to you. I've been meaning to get around to that for awhile. I've been busy with various shit. Including getting disappointing news from Phaota about a troll who is posting up my shit on his own blog! How low is that? Really! He's taking pictures, descriptions (that's plagiarism at that too!), and even using the same links I think (Still have to verify that). This just simply PISSED me off to no fucking end. I mean I'm not trying to be cocky or anything but it seems to me he just wants to have a popular successful blog like mine and decided to steal my work to make that happen. Pretty low, man, if you ask me.

Anyway this wasn't the first time this ass did something like this to me. So if he doesn't take down my posts on his blog within the next few days then it's on like fucking donkey kong! I simply don't need this shit. So that was partly why it took so long for me to post again on here. I won't reveal the blog name or address at this time I decided. But if he doesn't agree to play nice then I will reveal it and then start a boycott or something. And also if he does take it down expect to see this part of this post edited out. Cause even though he's fucking me over I am still a nice guy. So that's that.

On other sad news, I just realized that I'm getting to that point again where I realize I'm running out of soundtracks/scores to post. The ones that ready to post that is. The majority of the other ones are ones that are either not good enough to post in the bitrate I have them in or soundtracks/scores that I would like to take the time to expand on with bonuses to make them even better. And that stuff as you might know takes time. But I think I do have a good bunch of stuff on my hard drive and external hard drive that I haven't imported into my iTunes and maybe post. But I have to go through that all and decide. So please bear with me as it may be slow on this blog for a while. But if it does I will try to make it up with some new stuff on my other blogs hopefully. With "Insomnia Video Stash" I plan to make some posts that aren't just trailers after what's been like ages of doing that stuff on there. With "Hellfire Music Hall" I plan to post some much needed posts of albums I've been meaning to post. And I have LOTS of stuff I can post there. Hellfire hasn't seen any posts since Summer so it's in dire need of attention from me.

OK that's the latest update people. Hope I don't depress some of you with the shitty news I'm sharing here. But things will pick up :). BTW I wanna say a BIG thank you again to all my readers and friends who wished me a happy birthday which was the 1st of this month. That was really cool.

Finally, here's the links to the updated posts for "Christine" and "The Gate" for faster access...
