How did Jesus handle obstacles?
- Water was not an obstacle in fact Jesus and Simon Peter walked upon it.
- Mountains were not obstacles Jesus said all that it takes to move them is the faith the size of a mustard seed..
- Storms were no obstacles in fact Jesus was going to ride out a storm sleeping in the bow of a boat, but then His Apostles started to panic.
Here is my life motto - “Somehow everything always works out”.
God has been there for me. When I was out partying playing the prodigal son He was there when I brought suffering upon myself. When my mom died of cancer He temporarily brought me back to California a year earlier to say a long goodbye (before anyone knew she had cancer). God has provided our bare necessities as a single income family. When I lost a job God has brought me a new job. When I married a non-christian God reached her heart and made her His child. When I thought buying a house was impossible He brought the encouragement necessary to get me to try and succeed in securing a home for my family. When I was faithless He was faithful. God has brought me out of the pit of self pity many times. Life has not been easy. I have wasted precious time worrying about things that never even happened. I have given God every reason in the world not to love me, but none of those reasons ever separated me from His love.
The truth is that I have walked on water. With just a small amount of faith I have moved mountains. I have crossed stormy seas and even napped through a few storms. My 2 sons have brought me lessons about childlike faith that are helping get through the difficulties of life. Inside of my life God's word has come to life and I have a story that is as good or better then many stories of the Bible. Suffering points to truth and yes I have suffered. God has been gracious and merciful to me. The Bible says that he who is forgiven much loves much and the Bible also says that love covered a multitude of sins. The awareness of my own flaws has made it easier for me to be gracious to others. As I mature in the faith I have become keenly aware of the room God provided for me to grow and now I am able to give others room to grow. God has made life my instructor and now I know my purpose for existence. Life is God long mathematical equation and at the end is a equals sign. Life is so complexed of an equation that not even Einstein could figure it out. If change could occur in a short matter of time then our lives would be much shorter. Life is unstable like water and in this journey there will be many obstacles like mountains to overcome. Everything points to the truth and when the truth finally stares us in the face how will we handle it? What does your life equal?
