Terrible Twos

Terrible Twos are closing in fast. Krista is really starting in on the constant repeating of everything. Not to mention the continuous NO'S that she has to be told. I think she is driving me batty. She is constantly getting into things she's not supposed to. I try not to keep putting things out of her reach, but is that really helping her? I am trying to teach her some self control. Telling her not to touch it but leave it where it lies. I just feel if you keep moving things away from here then she will get into things at other peoples homes when you take her to visit. This way she can learn that it is not for her. Also, I don't have to impose of the family/friends that we visit to move things from her reach. Does this even make sense? I know it is a pain in the butt at the moment, but I feel it will help her in the long run. Needless to say, I am still going batty with it, lol.

In one ear and out the other!

Have you ever had one of those days where everything you say just goes in one ear and out the other. I swear I think that I would have a better reaction from the wall than my almost 2 year old. My baby girl will be 2 years old in December. She has a clear understanding of what "NO" means for sure. I so far this morning have told her "NO" at least 5 times now to her getting into my kitchen drawers. She keeps going in there to get an old cell phone out to play with. After the first 3 times of taking it away and telling her that is a no no... she still persists to go in that drawer and get the phone out. I know that she knows this is wrong because she keeps hiding in the corner to play with it. Then she precedes to take off running when I hunt her down. What can we do? Just keep telling her "NO" because she really doesn't understand time out yet. Oh well, she is apparently picking this behavior up from the older kids. As we all know... the older they get the more "In one ear and out the other" comes into play! Terrible twos here we come!
