A couple of quick points to get out of the way: First, “working in retail” typically means standing behind a cash register, ringing up people while convincing them to sign up for high-interest rate department store credit cards. However, before it gets to that point, a ton of other people have to do their jobs in order to make that happen, like the manufacturer of the products, the inventory crew that sets the floor, the marketing people who advertise the product, etc. I think those “support” people, if you will, also work in retail. At the very least, that’s how I mean it when I refer to myself “working in retail.”

As far as movies go, there’s nothing inherently wrong with AVP - Requiem. The actors do a serviceable job. The special effects are special enough. And the writing keeps everything together well. As its own movie, it only suffers from being a little lackluster. As a movie based on — not just one, but — two popular franchises, AVP-R falls short of expectations by playing it too safe and simply aping the key moments that made the franchises what they are.
Aliens vs Predator - Requiem takes place directly after the first AVP with the Predators hauling on-board the impregnated corpse of their brethren. This host gives birth to a Predator-Alien that can apparently impregnate hosts without the Face-Hugger middleman to slow down the process. The PredAlien wreaks havoc on the Predator spacecraft, sending it crashing down outside a small town in Colorado, unleashing not just the PredAlien, but the imprisoned Face-Hugger cadre on board. Chino Hills residents living in the southern half of the 71 freeway finally have a decent joint to get their sushi fix at. Sushi Ten is conveniently located just off the Soquel Canyon exit, meaning you won’t have to trek to the Spectrum or through the hills just to have a satisfying Japanese meal any more. And we’re talking liberal portions, with tasty specialty rolls and friendly service—all the hallmarks of satisfaction when it comes to sushi.
To fittingly sum-up the sense on gets walking into Sushi Ten, the word “quaint” comes to mind. The dimensions are intimately small, but still with plenty of seating and a sushi bar squeezed in. Even though you won’t hear any piped-in music to backdrop the atmosphere, and there’s hardly much in the way of décor, the restaurant still boasts a youthful hip vibe because of its lively wait staff.
