Drained.That’s been my trouble!Household thingy is overwhelming.The tons of things that needs to be done is overwhelming.I feel so drained but what’s tagalog drain,btw? haha Anyway, I’m having a bit of a hard time right now with one thing and another. If it’s not house stuff, it’s kiddies being ill and if it’s not them, it’s family in P.I. and if it’s not family, it’s money and if it’s not money,it’s Christmas, well you all know the score of Christmas and not having enough money right? hehehe. Me and my two li’l kutos ally & kira left the house in a great mood this morning.We wandered through our li’l village having this terrific mood.All was great until a middle-aged woman appeared from one of the blocks. She looked exactly like the type of woman you would have fancied for an Oma or Grandma.She had a very clear, gentle face with no particular facial irregularities.

There are a thousand of ways to help other people or responding to those who need them,from babysitting your neighbor’s child to raising money for less fortunate kids.But before we place too much significance on other people’s need,we make sure we recognize the situation.I know many well-meaning individual who’s more than willing to launch a full scale generosity but on case to case basis ofcourse.But I’m not quite sure about this email below.If she is really in trouble,a playgroup such as MunichMommies should be her last resource.I do not think it’s appropriate to ask such kind of help from us who can hardly remember her.

Today, after the usual home-based argument with myself about whether or not I was going to go out for a walk and shopping, I finally decided that I’d much rather prefer to be lazy,browsing online while munching toast bread with my fave marmalade and sipping hot coffee.Whilst blog hopping,I was landed to a diet expert blog post that suggested if you were on a diet, instead of having chemically modified low fat product such as cookies, mixes of otherwise fattening foods, you could just have a smaller portion of a real one.It’s pretty much of my philosophy towards food,too you know.Keep it real! There are tons of proper foods which are naturally low in fat if you want it that way.

I am undeniably distracted today.I’ve got tons of things that needs to be done but for some reason, I just couldn’t focus. Someone out there might have a valid point that there are some of us who are overly corny and sensitive about racist jokes.Uh really??Veteran Austrian tv personality Klaus Emmerich thought of it,too.

Emmerich has long been a figure in Austrian television news. His journalism career spans 61 years and includes a stint as a correspondent in Washington D.C. for ORF, Austria’s public television station. He is something like the Wolf Blitzer of Austria.Or, at least, he was. Now, the respected US expert has stained his own report card with a string of blatantly racist remarks regarding the election of Barack Obama in the US. Speaking on a talk show on the Austrian public channel ORF on Wednesday, he said:

 ”I wouldn’t want the Western world to be directed by a black man“. When you say that is a racist remark: right, without a doubt.”Americans are “racists, now as before, and it must be going very badly for them that they so convincingly … send a black man, and a black, very good-looking woman, into the White House,” he said.

The Austrian broadcaster distanced itself from his views, saying it was against any form of discrimination. “We have never had any comments from Mr. Emmerich which would indicate he has such opinions,” Pius Strobl, head of communications at the channel told SPIEGEL ONLINE.Following his outburst, the moderator prevented the now-retired Emmerich from having another chance to speak, Pius said.But Emmerich himself voiced no regret. On the contrary, he even took a harder line in subsequent interviews. Obama’s victory was an “extremely disconcerting development” he told the Austrian Standard on Wednesday, because “blacks aren’t as politically civilized.” Meanwhile, he told Die Presse in an interview published on Friday that Obama has “a devil-like talent to present his rhetoric so effectively.”

Dieter Brosz, a speaker of the Green Party, was one of many riled by the comments. He urged the channel not to give Emmerich a platform again. “Racist remarks have no place on ORF and are to be avoided.”

One day when I was still in Istanbul,Turkey working. I was walking around Taksim area and happened to go past a five star hotel. I thought to myself Wow!I think I wanna look inside as I need to use their toilet anyway. Although,I wasn’t particularly dressed for the toilet err,for the hotel lol.There was  quite a crowd queue up at the reception desk where Japanese group were checking in.My tour to the hotel toilet was quite interesting,it turned out that there are endless amazing things to discover in a five star hotel apart from their elegant carpets and gorgeous door knobs and lamps. I was walking along the wide corridor when my attention caught up through a huge hall which I thought the most beautiful ballroom area I’ve ever seen.It’s really a gorgeous place! I kept thinking to myself.How everything is overdone simply intended to get an awesome impression.The most striking part of my tour I think was the gigantic ballroom area. I was totally impressed of those beautiful sets of chairs and tables.At my husband’s company openhouse last summer,MIL noticed my  tepid interest and asked me if I was impressed.Ofcourse I am! I told her.

Let me tell you one thing straight here.Not all remarks against filipinos & the Philippines will offend me.I’m certainly aware that many of not-so-pleasant labeling/stereotyping about Filipinos have some basis,that they are based on reality aruy!!ouch!  like,the garbage levels in the Phils are reaching corrupt politician proportion or All filipinos can do is sit under a coconut tree scratching their balls.These aren’t offensive because they’re based on fact and/or actual experience.Not just the kind of ridiculous,unrealistic anti-filipino remarks that some clueless creatures would argue.Occasionally,I encounter few foreigners would ask silly questions that  showed their ignorance about filipina and the Philippines.Is it true filipinos loves dog meat?Do you have toilets & running water? kind of question.Just because I’m married to a westerner,they would have the presumption that my long nose husband found me on MOB Catalog and that I came here as a package and as though all pinays married to westerners are uneducated or probably thought of us having tails and used to live in the cave Bwahahaha

Believe or not,these anti-Filipina remarks doesn’t upset me much anymore.Although it can be little bit annoying at times.

To  attribute certain traits to a certain group is plain IDIOTIC.

We all know that, but it seems to me that not many of us realized that, to generalize all filipinos or filipinas for that matter is just as idiotic as generalizing all Germans as cruels,all French as kuripot,all Turkish as baho paa etc etc lol

If your pinay gf messed up your relationship,does not mean all pinays are heartbreakers?If you happen to have a stupid pinay babysitter,can you assume all pinays are stupids? Just because you see a pinay dressed in a hottie skirt,5 inch high heels hanging around at Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) in Frankfurt or Munich,would you conclude all pinays are loose or puta? You probably have had unpleasant experience with a pinay or bad experience travelling in the Philippines. I think, it is only mega stupidity if you attribute such experience of yours on our entire race.Nyeta!hindi kami lahat kumakain ng aso!

So I’ve decided, today is my first day doing the adverts again and none seems to care anymore about big G, PR bullshit anyway! You see,the last time they did was to demote me to PR 2.I’ve felt as if I’m not allowed to advertise here anymore.Before my blog gone lifeless last February,I’ve already noticed many doing the adverts been really quite wary about it and I felt,the big G did what they did to annoy everyone.Well, I was totally annoyed by it.Infact, I announced it to everyone.hehe So there,one of the reason why I sneaked off quietly from blogging for months, hoping that no one would have noticed it,lol

I finally got the time to check ppp again and still found few attractive opps to do,which are making me a bit wistful these days. I suppose we all like to wish that we’ve have the time to spend on blogging.Pro or not,does that matter? nuh! 

Remember the popular filipino boy band in the 90’s true faith?I didn’t google them yet if this band still exist though. I was listening to it together with Michael V’s CDs. I hadn’t listened to this track for a long long time now.Say 5 years of neglect.hehe  I’ve listened to it thrice again this morning.I’m no expert on music but I think,I appreciate more the tune of 80’s & 90’s  as much as I appreciate Corey Hart’s ‘ Sunglasses at Night’ Boy!I was lovin’ it so much.I’m having an entertained thoughts about this type of music you know,lol. Anyway,I got up at a reasonable hour this morning, despite of lacking enough sleep last night. Not sure whether it was something to do with yesterday’s weather or something else. Either way, I woke up on several occasions that I’ve decided to blog for a couple of hours, most of which was spent reading and browsing this and that, Whilst doing so, I was stumbling upon an interesting story of a dad who loves Zenni Optical,a mega cheap retailers of eyeglasses that can be found on the web.I think you’ll agree with him,if you will take a minute to browse Zenni’s official website as they sell very trendy Prescription Glasses at lowest price.You will find a huge selection of glasses at starting price of 8$.Very cheap indeed.

 Shoe freak.Not me!!lol

The best example I guess, of a shoe freak was my ex-colleague in a Travel Company I was working for,way back in the late 90’s.He was known as ’casanova’ apart from being known for his brightly shoe- shining obsession. E was working as travel guide for the company.We called him ‘E’ (his name) if he’s around but otherwise,we baptized him as the ’papillon’.kumikinang kasi pati noo,may pomade ata hehe

I’m used to the clean-cut clothes travel guides wear in the company(Turkish Style kunbaga) Maski Janitor naka- tie,hehe.They want to make sure a very kind of  impression as much as they can.Umm,wag lang amuyin paa at kilikili hehe But papillon went to a bit of too much when it came to his shoes.There was no day for him not in search of a shoe shine boy along Sisli (street adjacent to our office).I thought,papillon was suffering from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) or something, lol Gaano mo ba kadalas dapat pakintabin sapatos mo ha?or maybe he had a military background.Well,men in uniform only wear spotless shoes right? ay,hindi nga pala palagi,lol Perhaps, he was taught to be a perfectly neat freak as a child?plantsado from head to toe ,anong say nyo?!!hehe Ah well…

What I’m saying is that,I used to think that only women shoes achieved such importance but truth is,shoe freak was applied not just for women but for men,too.A man and his shoes are a combination statement that do a lot of telling about the person and what he is like.

I checked with a friend yesterday if she’s still getting annoying phone calls at night.She said,she had to turn off her phone because it woke her up several times.Tsk tsk! Did it happen to you,too?Annoying phone calls can be really annoying esp. if we can’t find ways to avoid them. We’ve been getting several calls from telephone & mobile companies as well which is quite annoying sometimes.But what to do if someone is trying to harrass you by calling your number like crazy?Your best course of action probably is  to Report Phone Numbers that may be a pain in to your nerve.Getting annoying phone calls are rampant now a days.I doubt very much that this something we can truly avoid.Fortunately, Report Phone Numbers.com offers better option by allowing you to track down phone numbers and note your complaints about certain phone calls that are particularly harrassing.Great!
