Posted October 18, 2008
I have been living in Hong Kong for 12 years and decided to take a new fresh look at this amazing city. I still have not explored all of this city with its labyrinth of streets and alleys. Around every corner is another surprize and once you start with experimental photography, the city gets an entire new and refreshed meaning. I just love my city - Hong Kong, China. Cape Peninsula, South Africa

Posted September 23, 2008
Cape of Good Hope at the southern point of Africa is the pride of Africa where Table Mountain keeps an eye on the Mother City - Cape Town. The Cape is known for its natural scenery, history, people, wine, food, vineyards, architecture, and wild life. To do's: Cable car up Table Mountain, drive to Cape of Good Hope, Hout Bay, Cape Town City walk, A&V Waterfront, historical towns and famous wineries such as Stellenbosch and Franschoek, and whale watching. I spent 14 days on the "Maties" University Campus in the historical town of Stellenbosch where I attended a course - and had the time of my life! Vanuatu, in the South Pacific - north-east of Australia, south-east of the Solomon Islands, north-east of New Caledonia, and straight west of Fiji. What first comes to mind when thinking of VANUATU? Kiev - Ukraine: Walking the Khreshchatyk under the piercing eyes of "Mother Motherland"

Posted April 23, 2008
Kyiv (also spelled "Kiev"), is the bustling and scenic capital of the Ukraine located along the banks of the Dnipro River. With a population of almost 3 million people, it draws visitors with its authentic Eastern European charm. While the flavor in the air is still very reminiscing of its less glorious past as part of the USSR, its full-steam on course to integrate within the European Union. Join Globerovers for an unforgettable exploration of Kiev ...Continuing reading about "Kiev - Ukraine"

"Eagles View" Family Lodge in South Africa

Posted March 10, 2008
Step into a special African experience. Created by my sister (Esthie) and her husband's (Willie), this wildlife retreat in the northern part of South Africa is perched on a hill in Mabula private game reserve. This unique lodge was conceived by visionary Willie, with the meticulous interior decoration by Esthie. Each of the four chalets have unique designs. The chalets and the cavernous main lodge with bar, dining room, lounge and jumbo jacuzzi have a panoramic view of the lowlands with the Big Five always in sight. From the time you step in, chef Dube, ranger David, and staff, will make you feel like an African King. Don't miss High Tea at 3pm, and the game drives at 6am and 5pm. ...Continuing reading about "Eagles View Lodge"

Volcán Concepción, Nicaragua: Climbing an angry volcano

Posted March 5, 2008
Volcán Concepción is one of Nicaragua's highest volcanoes and is also one of its most active! Concepción is a stratovolcano and since 1883 it has erupted at least 24 times. Eruptions are characterized by frequent moderate-sized explosions. While the most recent large eruption ended in 1986, Concepción has had frequent moderate explosive eruptions in the past century, most of which have originated from a small summit crater. I have an obsession with volcanoes and this is growing stronger by the day! Climbing Volcán Concepción was a near-death experience for me and while it was an unforgettable experience, I'm in no rush to do Concepción again any time soon. .....Continue reading about Nigaragua's Volcán Concepción

Animal Paradise - Galápagos Islands, Ecuador

Posted March 1, 2005
Islas Galápagos, named after the shells of saddlebacked Galápagos tortoises, is an archipelago of volcanic islands distributed around the equator, almost 1,000 kilometre west of continental Ecuador. These islands are famed for their endemic species studied by Charles Darwin back in the 1830's which supported his theory of evolution by natural selection.
