DAMIRworld Blog in Japan - Mt Fuji Top And Keepin It N-Ice & Underground.

I climbed Japan's highest mountain 'Mt.Fuji'. What was I thinking at first - but at the end it was no problem i became numb from the cold - until the sun rose early in the morning. We took the train to the mountain.

Mount Fuji (Fujisan) is 3776 meters - Japan's highest mountain. It is almost a perfectly shaped volcano and has been treated as a sacred mountain and is very popular for world travelers. People from all over world were there climbing Fuji-san.

We started at 6:30 pm from the fifth station and arrived at the top at 1:00 am an elevation of 3,776 metres (12,388 ft).

I also picked up a traditional souvenir - a climbing aid - a Japanese Mt Fuji walking stick and a Mt Fuji blue cap.

It was awesome and a peaceful journey seeing the breathtaking views and at the same time a dangerous experience standing on the edge of the cliffs: 'Your are wise to climb Fuji once and a fool to climb it twice.'

DAMIRworld at a Native Indian pow wow powwow.

Summary: We gather in a circle, everyone is equal, no one is higher, no one is above another and no one is better than the other. Powwow means gathering, or celebration.

Where do I start and where do I end. I guess thats the point about a pow wow. There is no beginning and there is also no end. A spiritual journey never has either. Language as we know it, has no expression, catch phrase or saying to put this event in words. The best I can do is say wow. I was 'wowed' by the ' Pow Wow'.

I was at the Largest Multi-Disciplined Aboriginal Arts Event in North America. This year's theme was 'AKWE-KON' which means 'everyone'. It was the 14th Anniversary of the Canadian Aboriginal Festival. And everyone was welcomed, all races and creeds.

Do you know what a pow wow ( powwow ) is? Its a gathering in a circle, everyone is equal, no one is higher and no one is better than the other. Powwow means gathering, or celebration, bringing one-time enemies or foes together in peace to establish new friendships and celebrate shared traditions. Its like a break where the participants return to their regular life with a difference – their spirit rejuvenated, re-freshed and renewed. Until the next powwow.

A circle is formed with Dancers and each dance has different stories attached to them. At the same time the drum beats out a rhythm representing all creation. This creation is the sound we remember from our embryonic stage - before we were born. It is the rhythm and heartbeat of our mother. The drums are easily identifiable to remind us of the heart beat that we all share, a common memory. So we do have a common experience that we all share throughout the world.

Families traditionally had to search for enough food and traveled through the cold Canadian Winters to feed themselves. The powwow event took place and happened when each family returned and reunited after the winter season with friends, families and neighbors to dance, drum, eat and give thanks to the Creator.

We are all equal. The whole world and universe comes together on this day to celebrate. There's only one world, the world we share. The heart beat that we all remember. I will be back to a Pow Wow in a heart-beat.

WHO CAN GO To CUBA- Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Damir

And I say anyone can go to Cuba. Cause you gotta go see the coral reef, swim with dolphins- believe it I shook hands with the dolphins fin. I met the coolest people and very cool choreographed cool funky dancers. My Spanish is not that good but I managed with no problems at all, and most of the people there speak English. They are the kindest and sincere people i have ever met who are only concerned that you have a wonderful time in Cuba.

Everyone asks me how do i get to travel everywhere, its simple get a passport and have the courage to explore other cultures - there is a world out there - you know. The question is why wouldn't you want to see the world? 

Castro took over the government of Cuba. Following this, the next year and a half Fidel Castro held power and seized properties. Castro allied with the Soviet Union. And the Cuban people enthusiastically supported Castro's independence from the United States.   Now, Take a deep breath.  

I highly recommend going to Cuba to see this untouched country and its history. The largest Caribbean island, with amazing beaches and scenery; fascinating history; rich culture; ecological wonders and more.

With Canada's winter season being at an estimated minus 30 degress Celsius = minus 22 Fahrenheit, its definitely worth getting on a plane with my American neighbors for a 3 hour flight to Cuba to hang out with the revolutionary leader Castro Fidel and the wonderful Cuban people. There is something about Cuba and there's something about that man in the photo.

Absolutely amazing. I was in Varadero and Havana.
